Registration is now open for our second session of Juniors Ultimate. Anyone 12-18 years of age is welcome to join, whether you are new to the sport or have played before.

This program begins Mon. Feb. 22, 2010 and runs for six weeks on Monday nights from 6:00-7:00 pm at the Barrie Sports Dome. Participants will be taught how to throw and catch a disc, the simple rules of the game, and most importantly the Spirit of the Games which encourages players to self referee and play with true sportsmanship and respect. Each week will consist of a warm-up, skills, drills and a scrimmage. Players must wear indoor soccer shoes or running shoes and bring a white and dark shirt.

Register before Feb. 16th and pay only $50.00. After that, the price goes up to $60.00. Registration is a two-step process:

1. Register as an ODSA member here. It’s free! Membership type is “Ultimate Organization Club Member – under 18 years”. You must complete this form with your parent/guardian.

2. Once your membership is activated you will receive a confirmation e-mail. You can then proceed to the Barrie Junior Ultimate – Winter 2010 Indoor Rec League registration.

Below are the teams for the 2010 Winter Indoor frisbee season with the team captains name underlined. The season will run for 13 weeks, with no breaks for any holidays. All games are played on Monday nights. There is a 7 game round robin, and the first seven games are posted. The remaining games will be posted after the results of the round robin are in. If you were wondering whether or not the Junior League would actually run, the answer is YES!! There is still space available for anyone who is thinking of joining, but do so soon as there are only a few days left. For those of you who have already registered please plan to arrive at 5:30 pm on Mon. Jan. 11 so that we can take attendance and you can meet the coaches. Bring a light and dark shirt, water bottle and running shoes or indoor soccer shoes. Warm-up will begin at 5:45 pm.

Congratulations to the Ospreys for their come from behind victory Monday night over the Whip Poor Wills. That makes The Ospreys the Fall 2009 Indoor Champions.

Winter Indoor Registration is now open, and there is room for only 88 players. The winter season will have 13 weeks of play, 10 regular season and three weeks of playoffs. There are eight teams of eleven players, and game times will be one hour. Go to the following link and register today.

If you have not registered with the O.D.S.A website, it is free, and you must do so before you can register to play. You can find the registration at the link below and, under member type, choose Ultimate Organization Club Members ( choose age catagory depending on your age). Select “Barrie Ultimate League” as your Ultimate group, and fill in the remainder of the required information to register.

For new and experienced players (12-18 years of age)!

Ultimate is a non-contact team sport combining the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer and the aerial passing skills of football. Fall Indoor Season

The 2009 fall indoor season has seven games remaining. As of Nov. 1/09 we still have two more weeks of scheduled round robin play . Look for an updated schedule Wednesday Nov. 11 that will include the last two games of the regular season. Don’t forget that the playoffs are three weeks, with the last night being Monday December 14/09. Every team makes the playoffs and the schedule will be posted week to week depending on the season outcome and the outcome of each game.

WINTER INDOOR REGISTRATION will be online soon. There are only 88 spots available so make sure you register early.
