The fundraiser for sending our Juniors to Worlds (see previous post) was originally scheduled for tonight but has been postponed. I hear some pretty wicked thunder and rain at the moment, too. The new date will be announced here and through your captains in the near future. In the meantime, if you have any questions, email me!

Hi everyone,
Caitlind Lusty and Shaw Dungate have been selected to play on the Canadian teams at Worlds this coming August. You can go to www.wugc2008.com for more info on Worlds. It’s a big long trip, and we’re quite proud of our juniors, so the league is having a fundraiser for them:
6 p.m. to about 8 p.m. at Sunnidale Park on Tuesday, July 8
Cups tourney, teams of 2 at $15/team, with prizes
Skills competition - longest throw, most accurate throw, best catch, longest layout slide (optional) - individual, $5 each with overall prizes
We are accepting donations for the juniors’ trips and there will be a table with BUL goodies for sale as well.
If you’d like to enter the cups tourney, or volunteer to help out, email Talena at convenor@barrieultimate.com (by Saturday at 9pm for entry into the cups tourney). We need some help for set up, measuring and judging for skills, and running the table. If you have a camera you’re good with, feel free to bring that too as the website photo gallery needs new material. Also feel free to bring friends!
