Winter Indoor Playoffs Continue

The schedule is posted for Monday March 29’s second round of the playoffs. The final Monday of winter indoor will be April 5 , and the championship game will be played at 8pm. Registration for summer leagues will be posted soon after, so keep checking.

The shedule for the first week of the playoffs has been posted. All eight teams have a chance to win the season. There will be three weeks of playoffs with each weeks winning teams moving toward the championship game and all other teams playing consolation games.

2010 WINTER INDOOR TEAMS

Below are the teams for the 2010 Winter Indoor frisbee season with the team captains name underlined. The season will run for 13 weeks, with no breaks for any holidays. All games are played on Monday nights. There is a 7 game round robin, and the first seven games are posted. The remaining games will be posted after the results of the round robin are in. Congratulations to the Ospreys for their come from behind victory Monday night over the Whip Poor Wills. That makes The Ospreys the Fall 2009 Indoor Champions.

Winter Indoor Registration is now open, and there is room for only 88 players. The winter season will have 13 weeks of play, 10 regular season and three weeks of playoffs. There are eight teams of eleven players, and game times will be one hour. Go to the following link and register today.

If you have not registered with the O.D.S.A website, it is free, and you must do so before you can register to play. You can find the registration at the link below and, under member type, choose Ultimate Organization Club Members ( choose age catagory depending on your age). Select “Barrie Ultimate League” as your Ultimate group, and fill in the remainder of the required information to register.

Fall Indoor Season

The 2009 fall indoor season has seven games remaining. As of Nov. 1/09 we still have two more weeks of scheduled round robin play . Look for an updated schedule Wednesday Nov. 11 that will include the last two games of the regular season. Don’t forget that the playoffs are three weeks, with the last night being Monday December 14/09. Every team makes the playoffs and the schedule will be posted week to week depending on the season outcome and the outcome of each game.

WINTER INDOOR REGISTRATION will be online soon. There are only 88 spots available so make sure you register early.

Go dig the indoor shoes out of the closet—ultimate in the Sportsdome starts on Monday, September 28!

Registration is now open.

Our insurance is provided by Ontario Disc Sports Association, so all players must register with them. If you are already an ODSA member (i.e., if you registered in the spring) you can start the league registration here.

Otherwise, you must first register for ODSA. Start here. You will receive a confirmation email—check your spam folder if you don’t see an email right away. Once you’re registered and confirmed for ODSA, you can then proceed to the league registration.

The deadline for registration is Friday, September 25th (or once we’ve hit a full ten teams). You must have fully registered and paid by the deadline or you will NOT be put on a team. No excuses, no exceptions*.

Before you can register, please review the Skills Self-Assessment—you’ll need your five self-rankings to register.

GAMES	Games are played Monday nights at the Sportsdome on Hamner Street, in one of five timeslots between 6:00 and 10:00 pm.
FEES	The fee for Fall Indoor is $120.
PAYMENT	You must pay on-line via ODSA. They accept VISA, MasterCard, and Paypal. (There were problems in the spring when this was first set up—those have been solved.) If your case is extraordinary, contact our treasurer, Becki Couling, at treasurer@barrieultimate.com.
TEAM MAKING	At registration every player must self-assess his/her abilities. Teams are then selected by the league convener, Tyler Cochrane, with the intent of balancing gender split, speed, handling, height, and experience.
GROUP ENTRIES	Barrie Ultimate does not allow complete teams to register together. We encourage players to register as individuals or couples (spouses, car-poolers, etc.), and will make sure that all couples play together.We will accept groups of up to six players. We will attempt to place the entire group on the same team, but will not guarantee this—team balance will take priority.
JERSEYS	All players are expected to have a home and away (white and red) jersey. League jerseys are superlight Patagonia Capilene 1 dri-fit shirts and cost $30. You can pay for a jersey when you register and Ian Brown will be distributing them at the Sportsdome.

Winter Indoor Is Back On

The sports dome has been resurrected and the finals for winter indoor are back on. The schedule has been updated so look for your game time. Please tell your friends and team mates so that they don’t miss their last indoor game of the winter season.

April 6 games are cancelled

The wind storm last night has blown down the Sportsdome, so the games scheduled for April 6 are cancelled. We don’t know yet if or when we can schedule the last games. We’ll post on the website and send out an email when we know more information.
