Our league is going to be out and about in the community a bit this spring, and is participating in a couple of events.

The first is tomorrow, Saturday May 28: the Barrie East End Social, at Strabane Park . We will have a booth up from 9-6, and there will be lots of activity there from the sounds of it. There’s even a former exec member that’s volunteered for the dunk tank. AND this should be your first chance to see the cool new discs we have this year!

The second event is Orillia’s Parks and Recreation day, on Saturday June 11 at Rotary Place in Orillia. They’ve asked that we provide a demonstration game and get people involved after they’ve seen how it’s done. We need volunteers for this, so if you’d like to play some extra ultimate, let me know – talena@barrieultimate.com.

As of 5:45 pm Monday May 23, the city fields were open (nothing on the hotline). At 5:53, it started to rain at my place in Innisfil. SO go to your games but please remember the rain-out conditions for the fields: ponding of water on the field, or sponging of water up around your feet when you walk on the field. Thunder/lightning: if you hear thunder, or see lightning less than 30 seconds away, get off the field.
